Under the Sea Cafe!

The third graders, Katie Crompton, Sarah Cort and Helen Moody, created a new reading under the sea cafe to promote the love of reading. Students are encouraged to taste new books and select books that interest them. The girls designed the cafe, selected the books and met with students to encourage them to read.

Our talented 5th graders!

Thank you to Spaulding Education Fund for sponsoring our Composer in Residence, Greg Naeger.   Mr. Naeger works with 5th grade students to support them in writing their own musical scores.  Mr Carpenter teaches students using Sibelius software, where the students compose a melody, a melody with chords, and their own original piece.  These photos show how proud students are to share their musical scores with their parents!

Way to go Dylan!

Nice job, Emily!

Love this piece Thomas!

Kudos Johny!

Way to go Aubrey!

Timmy, you should be proud!

Nice job Chase!

Eli looks really proud of his big sister, Abi!

Great job, Satchel!

Kids teaching Kids!!!! What could be better??

Some students in 5th grade created a scavenger hunt with clues and questions related to people on the timeline (in celebration of Black History Month). These 4th grade students spent some time today doing the scavenger hunt and reading all about the different figures in black history. It was awesome!

We have such GREAT parents!

Michelle Mouchantaf (Nicolas & Fares' Mom), a gastroenterologist, visited Kindergarten this week to teach the students about the importance of eating healthy. We learned some basic anatomy and how food moves through our bodies. She introduced us to the food groups and taught us why it is important to eat food from each group to fuel our bodies. We also learned about what happens when we do not eat enough healthy foods such as feeling tired and having a hard time concentrating and staying focused.

Science in the Art room!

Defying the Law of Gravity happened yesterday in the art room! So cool! The 4th and 5th grade were shocked and amazed. We even barricaded the rogue Crayola for all to see.  🖍🤔🤯
