Salem Sound Coastwatch

As a follow-up to the fifth grade unit on conservation, Salem Sound Coastwatch came to EES to present about water conservation.  Fifth graders rotated through parent-led stations to learn about many topics, some of which were: water shed, how pollution affects the environment, how rainwater gets to the ocean from Essex, qualities of water, and how waste water is managed.  It was a fabulous presentation to wrap-up the conservation study.  Thank you to Peter Phippen for connecting us to Salem Sound Coastwatch, as well as to all the parents who helped run the program: Stacie Capatasto, Jen Mayer, Rebecca Davis, Brooke Friedrich, Marnie Lawler, Marla Royale, and Heidi Meikrantz.
