Backyard Growers at EES!!

We harvested beans, then made scientific diagrams, took measurement, and graphed bean size.

Here are some second graders harvesting squash and pumpkins.

Our first fall harvest from the courtyard garden was bountiful!  Classes harvested the crops they planted in the spring, and our wonderful cafeteria staff is preparing the food in many different ways to entice students to try a taste.  We harvested beets, carrots, potatoes, squash, pumpkins, and dry beans.  Our student council will clear the beds in preparation for overwintering and spring lettuce planting!  Thank you to our always generous PTO for funding the launch of the courtyard garden program!
