Inside the Whalemobile, third grade students learn about the structure of a humpback whale. They were able to handle artifacts including bale em, whale vertebrae, and bones. Ocean Alliance shared how whale snot is collected using a “snot bot”and used to study the health of whales, and the ocean environment.

Last week at EES!

So many great things happened at EES last week. First of all, THANK YOU to all of the parents who provided so much joy and cheer for staff during Teacher Appreciation Week. Each day students bought flowers for the staff and took such pride in presenting them. We had pot luck lunch, ice cream sundaes, yoga after school, and decorated hearts for teachers. What an amzing week! THANK YOU TO HILARY MATTISON FOR ORCHESTRATING THIS WHOLE WEEK! Teachers felt so appreciated. I heard "May the 4th be with you" throughout the school sponsored Star Wars Day! This was so fun for staff and students alike! Who knew we had so many Star Wars geeks????? Enjoy pics from Project Adventure's Amazing Race. This is a unique event where teams of police and students from 5 towns came together for an afternoon of adventure and experiential learning, not to mention impactful community engagement with our local police officers. Andrea Locke and her crew took home FIRST PLACE! Great work Manchester and Essex Police as well as some familiar students! Finally, thank you to Samantha Silag and the Friends of EES for bringing reknowned author, Jerry Pallotta to our school. The students were so engaged throughout his presentations.
