Second grade field trip to Woodman's!!!

Second grade students were learning about goods and services. They took a walking field trip to Woodman's and learned a ton!  The students rotated in small groups among four stations: Mealing (prepping) Clams, Onion Ring Preparation, Kitchen (ordering and making the meals), and the “Front End” where customers have first contact with the producer in the ordering process. Woodman's was amazing!  They were so organized and taught our students a great deal…and then provided them with an AWESOME lunch!  Thank you so much!!!

Kestrel Educational Programs visit kindergarten classrooms at EES today!

Kestrel programs provide a unique approach to teaching and learning and allow students to:
  • build sensory awareness skills
  • ask questions for themselves
  • strengthen critical thinking abilities
  • build meaningful constructs of the world around them
  • synthesize information across seemingly disparate disciplines and
  • cultivate systems-thinking
  • connect more deeply with local wilds and local communities

ASK YOUR KINDERGARTENER WHAT THEY LEARNED TODAY!!

4th grade Poetry Slam! CONGRATULATIONS to all grade 4 students for sharing such amazing poems!!!
