So many wonderful end of year activities at EES!

Camp Merrowvista, soggy 5th grade students

What a view!!!!

Kindergarten Literacy Event.....the theme was called Camp Reads a Lot.  Students went fishing for sight words, played Moose with cvc words, made picture postcards, read under the stars with books from the lending library, sat around the campfire and learned chants, and hopped on river stones to make words.  Each student received a backpack filled with items that they used during today's event to reinforce reading, writing, listening and speaking skills during the summer.

Officer Richie Grant. Thank you to the PTO Auction!

Officer Grant seems to have arrested his sister!

Great musical assembly.  The chorus did a GREAT job!

The EES band really rocked it!

Thank you to PTO for funding the annual visit from Giles LaRoche.  The second grade students really enjoyed learning about his work!

Giles shares his artwork.  He cuts paper and then photographs it as illustrations into his books.

Can you believe this is all cut paper!?!?

...and this???

One of the BEST parts of my job....first grade authors sharing their books with me!
