Virtual Talent Show!

Hi all,

For those who don’t know me, I am a junior at Manchester Essex Regional High School. I have been involved in the theatre program at the middle/high school for many years, and I am organizing an online talent show for people in our communities. Or order to get as much participation as possible, I’m hoping you all can help me spread the word! I have posted about this on Facebook and am working on posting it to the Manchester Parks and Rec Facebook page as well. I have also created a GoFundMe page to attach to this for if any participants or community members are interested in donating directly to Direct Relief, a charity helping combat the COVID-19 pandemic. Here is the information I shared on Facebook:

"Hello, everyone!
I am organizing a virtual talent show for our community in support of efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. You can share your submissions with me through Google Drive (my email is sylvie.oldeman@gmail.com). Feel free to email me with any questions as well. Submissions for the talent show will be due on Thursday, April 16.
I'd like to cap submissions at two per person, and they can be anything: singing, dancing, acting, magic, tricks, sports, a special talent, etc. Submit something you've been doing to keep busy! Seriously, anyone is welcome to participate in this - I hope people will find joy in sharing their talents with our community. (Especially because you can do as many takes as you want before you share your final video with me)
I'm super excited to organize this for our community, as I know there are many children and adults alike who have a lot of time on their hands currently and want to find something to do. The show will be accessible on YouTube on Saturday, April 18, and I will post a link to it once it is available.
Although this talent show is something fun for our community to collaborate on, it is important to remember why we have all of this free time. Therefore, I have set up a GoFundMe page that is linked to a charity called Direct Relief. Direct Relief is making massive efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, and it is further explained on the GoFundMe page. I hope everyone will consider donating. No amount it too small! If you have any questions about this, I’d be happy to talk. I just hope that as many people have the opportunity to view and participate in this as possible.

Thank you,
Sylvie Oldeman
